The activities and stresses of our daily lives can often lead to tight & reduced range of motion in our hips. In this workshop we will work on stabilizing and increasing mobility in all of the movements of the hips, including the IT bands, glutes, hamstrings and quads. Discover how much your regular practice changes when your hips are open. Your warriors will be fiercer, your spinal twists will get deeper, arm balances will become more accessible, and you may even find coming up into inversions will feel even lighter.
If you are looking to loosen up your hips or simply deepen your yoga practice then this workshop is right for you. There will be modifications and progressions of poses suitable for anyone with some yoga experience. If you are looking for a challenge there will be options for you too as open hips can lead to some amazing asana.
This workshop is designed for all levels & will enhance and expand your practice, whatever stage you’re in.

Just as we have a physical body, we also have a body of energy, called subtle body. And just as we have a physical spine that acts as the central channel through which nerve impulses flow, we also have a subtle central channel called sushumna through which prana, or life force, flows. Deep within the sushumna lie spinning centers of energy, called chakras, which are like intense vortices of energy that act as distribution points for prana.
Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means “wheel” or “disc.” A chakra is formed where there is a massive confluence of nadis (lines of energy) in the body. Prana (vital life force) is distributed throughout the body via these lines of energy. Therefore, the chakras can be understood as subtle centers of transformation of energy. They do not belong to the material body and cannot be perceived on the physical level. However, they do affect the physical body — each chakra energizes, controls, and influences a different region of the body. There are seven major chakras arranged along the midline of the body within the spinal column, from the base of the spine to the crown of the head.
Blocked energy in our 7 chakras can often lead to illness or distress on systems of the body. As such, it is important to understand what each chakra represents and what we can do to keep this energy flowing freely. Chakra balancing creates a sense of equilibrium between your body, mind and spirit. When your chakras are returned to their natural frequencies, inner peace, wellbeing, and joy will follow.
In this workshop, we will explore the deep relationship between yoga asanas (or postures) and the chakras. When the asanas are combined with breath, visualization and mantra, they can have a direct effect on the energy flow within the chakras.
The workshop will be divided into 2 parts: 30 minutes of lecture about the chakras, followed by a 90-minute Vinyasa practice designed to awaken the spinal energies and balance the chakras

Please join us for a special evening of yoga and sound healing with Dora Gyarmati and Daniella White. Dora will lead you through 108 sun salutation, accompanied by the replenishing frequencies of Daniella’s crystal bowls and gong playing. The sounds are gentle yet powerful and will allow you to find a deeper rhythm of breath to your practice.
We will encourage you to stay with your power as you practice, but also give you plenty of permission to rest.
Doing 108 sun salutations will build determination, energy and self acceptance. It is a powerful practice that everyone should experience at least once in a lifetime.

This workshop will explore the foundation of arm balancing, the physics of transferring your weight to your hands and the playful mindset needed to maintain the balance and lose the fear. We will learn how to enter multiple poses safely with an emphasis on experimentation rather than perfectionism.
We’ll warm and prepare the body using deep stretching and sun salutations. For our wrist health a variety of stretches will be employed for you to use at your disposal throughout your life on your mat.
This workshop is for all students, new & experienced, with a yearning to learn the basic building blocks of these poses. Come with any questions and leave with a joyous spirit and richer understanding of these amazing postures.

Explore yogic ideas around awareness and existentialism through fine literature. Great way to get to know the community and a fantastic way to explore books you always wanted to read. And the tea, actually to be more technical herbal infusion… well that just makes the discussions a little easier.

Dora will start with a lecture on historical background to the Gita followed by discussion of the Gita in both historical, theological and modern context.
