In this experiential workshop you will learn and practice different forms of meditation.
- Chanting meditation.
- Sitting meditation.
- Energy meditation.
- Walking meditation.
- Bowing meditation.
The workshop will begin with a short 20-minute yoga session to prepare the body for meditation. Then Jonathan will give an introductory talk sharing his experience living in a meditation center developing a daily meditation practice, the benefits of doing meditation retreats and how meditation can be beneficial to your work, life and yoga.
During the workshop, Jonathan will teach different forms of meditation, one at a time, describing some of the benefits and who might benefit from doing this form of meditation, we will then practice this meditation. After each section there will be time for sharing your experience meditating and time for Q & A.

Jonathan began practicing Zen Meditation in 1980 in Berkeley California. He lived and practiced in the Empty Gate Zen Center for 8 years. After sitting a 90-day meditation retreat in Korea he became a novice monk, returned to the US and lived the next 4 years at the Providence Zen Temple in Cumberland Rhode Island.
Meditation is a quest of self-discovery, it takes faith, courage and determination, it opens your heart and allows you to see you as you really are, this is the root of compassion.

Does being upside down scare the living daylights out of you or are you one to jump (or float) at the opportunity to invert? No matter which one you are this workshop is for you.
Two and a half hours are being set aside to help you overcome your fears & go to new levels with your inversion practice. In this workshop we’ll be working on tripod headstand, supported headstand, forearm balance as well as the elusive handstand. For those who need more, how about floating up versus jumping, ever try coming out of an inversion into an arm balance?
The walls will be utilized as tools to help you achieve your goals, overcome those fears and begin to develop the skill sets needed for these exhilarating poses. All levels are welcome as long as you are comfortable with the idea of being upside down.

Celebrate spring with 108 minutes of mindful contemplation. The number 108 is a sacred number in Hinduism, Buddhism, Catholicism, you can also find the number popping up in literature from Homer’s Odyssey to Chinese classics to Sir Philip Sidney’s 108 love sonnets. This number also connects the Sun, Moon, and Earth; the average distance of the Sun and the Moon to Earth is 108 times their respective diameters. Whatever meaning you give to the number 108 you cannot go wrong with 108 minutes to clear your mind and welcome a new season.
Please join us for a special evening of yoga and sound healing with Dora and Daniella White. Dora will lead you through 54 minutes of yoga flow, accompanied by the replenishing frequencies of Daniella’s crystal bowls and gong playing. The sounds are gentle yet powerful and will allow you to find a deeper rhythm of breath to your practice. We will end with an extended sound bath in 54 minutes long savasana where Daniella will lead you into a relaxing meditation, adding vocal toning. The savasana will help you de-stress and rejuvenate your mind and body. The combination of these two powerful practices will help bring movement to your chi and guide your body to self healing. Participants often report the best night of sleep they can remember after attending a sound bath. It is great for releasing stress!
