Please join us for a special evening of yoga and sound healing with Dora and Daniella White.  Dora will lead you through 45 minutes of yoga flow,  accompanied by the replenishing frequencies of Daniella’s crystal  bowls and gong playing. The sounds are gentle yet powerful and will allow you to find a deeper rhythm of breath to your practice. We will end with an extended sound bath in 45 minutes long savasana where Daniella will lead you into a relaxing meditation, adding vocal toning. The savasana will help you de-stress and rejuvenate your mind and body. The combination of these two powerful practices will help bring movement to your chi and guide your body to self healing. Participants often report the best night of sleep they can remember after attending a sound bath. It is great for releasing stress!

Does being upside down scare the living daylights out of you or are you one to jump (or float) at the opportunity to invert? No matter which one you are this workshop is for you.

Two and a half hours are being set aside to help you overcome your fears & go to new levels with your inversion practice. In this workshop we’ll be working on tripod headstand, supported headstand, forearm balance as well as the elusive handstand. For those who need more, how about floating up versus jumping, ever try coming out of an inversion into an arm balance?

The walls will be utilized as tools to help you achieve your goals, overcome those fears and begin to develop the skill sets needed for these exhilarating poses. All levels are welcome as long as you are comfortable with the idea of being upside down.

Partner Yoga Massage is a creative synthesis of yoga and body work that produces deep relaxation in the receiver.  This workshop is for couples, friends or any two people over the age of 18 who want to learn the basics of giving and receiving a grounding massage that leaves the receiver completely rested and rejuvenated. It is two hours long to allow enough time for both of you to give and receive a very thorough yoga massage from each other while the teacher guides you each step of the way.

Just as we have a physical body, we also have a body of energy, called subtle body. And just as we have a physical spine that acts as the central channel through which nerve impulses flow, we also have a subtle central channel called sushumna through which prana, or life force, flows. Deep within the sushumna lie spinning centers of energy, called chakras, which are like intense vortices of energy that act as distribution points for prana.

Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means “wheel” or “disc.” A chakra is formed where there is a massive confluence of nadis (lines of energy) in the body. Prana (vital life force) is distributed throughout the body via these lines of energy. Therefore, the chakras can be understood as subtle centers of transformation of energy. They do not belong to the material body and cannot be perceived on the physical level. However, they do affect the physical body — each chakra energizes, controls, and influences a different region of the body. There are seven major chakras arranged along the midline of the body within the spinal column, from the base of the spine to the crown of the head.

Blocked energy in our 7 chakras can often lead to illness or distress on systems of the body. As such, it is important to understand what each chakra represents and what we can do to keep this energy flowing freely. Chakra balancing creates a sense of equilibrium between your body, mind and spirit. When your chakras are returned to their natural frequencies, inner peace, wellbeing, and joy will follow.

In this workshop, we will explore the deep relationship between yoga asanas (or postures) and the chakras. When the asanas are combined with breath, visualization and mantra, they can have a direct effect on the energy flow within the chakras.

The workshop will be divided into 2 parts: 30 minutes of lecture about the chakras, followed by a 90-minute Vinyasa practice designed to awaken the spinal energies and balance the chakras
